The Sierra FFA Chapter would like to thank the community for their great support in our annual Mother’s Day Rodeo that took place on May 9th. Rodeo Chairmen Clay Telles and Colton Fleming orchestrated the event with great success and the community was there to watch all of the spills and thrills that our brave highschoolers endured. The following is a list of all the 1st place recipients in their respective Individual Events: Emma Jensen won in Western Pleasure, Barrels, and Poles; Clay Telles won in Chute Doggin’; Colton Fleming won Cow Riding; Harley Grilles won Goat Tying; and Hailee Ashbrook won Breakaway Roping. In Cooperative Events: the pair of Colton Fleming and Clay Telles won both Rescue and Hide Race; the team of Mason Tarr, Clay Telles, and Daygan Cross won the Wild Cow Milking competition; and Makenna Galimba and Madison Hill won the Chicken Chase competition together. The highest awards offered at the rodeo, All-Around Cowboy and All-Around Cowgirl, went to Clay Telles and Hailee Ashbrook, along with some new belt buckles for them to wear.
