This year two of Sierra's female welders, Emma Turner and Aurora Parker, participated in the first annual Women in Welding Competition at the Career Technical Education Charter High School. These participants had two hours to build a small metal project from a blueprint with certain rules. Each and every piece was judged very precisely by three AWS (American Welding Society) employees.
Congratulations to both girls that participated! Submitted by Aurora Parker, Sierra FFA Reporter
