November 2nd Sierra FFA held its annual One-Day Woodcut fundraiser. 14 students and 5 parents, advisors, and supporters came to help. On this day we cut and delivered 14 cords of wood. The wood was cut in the Shaver area. Each student worked to receive money towards their welding projects, Supervised Agricultural Experience projects, or to help pay for State Convention. Students worked from 7am to 5 in the evening sawing logs, splitting rounds, loading, and unloading wood. We are thankful to Edison for donating the wood and allowing us to work up in Shaver. Everyone worked hard and we are thankful for all of our FFA supporters and staff for donating their time to the Sierra FFA Organization.
-Makenna Boul, Chapter Reporter Sierra FFA would like to congratulate Shane Wyman, Macy Myers, Kat Marsh, Taylor Collins, and Mason Tarr for receiving their American Degree. These students tie the Sierra FFA record for having five American Degree recipients in a single year. Even as alumni members, these individuals continue to make Sierra FFA proud. Congratulations on this momentous achievement.
